Orthophoto maps of the 5th cycle (2013 - 2015)

Aerial photography is carried out in a 3-year cycle in 2013 - 2015, the works are carried out by the Polish company MGGPAero.

3 types of digital aerial images were obtained - color (RGB), infrared (NIR) and black and white (PAN).

Color orthophoto maps with a resolution of 0.25 m are being prepared for the central part of Latvia and with a resolution of 0.4 m in the transition area.

Infrared and black-and-white orthophoto maps are prepared only upon order.

To reduce the size of the digital file, each M 1:10,000 orthophoto map is divided and stored in four parts (files) according to the nomenclature of M 1:5,000 map sheets. The capacity of one orthophoto map file with a resolution of 0.25 m is 286 MB, and the capacity of one orthophoto map file with a resolution of 0.4 m is 111 MB.

Infrared orthophoto maps for the data of 2013-2014 were also produced.

Color and infrared orthophoto maps of the 5th cycle of aerial photography are available in TIFF format with reference to the LKS-92 TM coordinate system, as well as in compressed SID format, combining files according to M 1:50,000 division of map pages.
